James Hernández McIntyre

I’m a PhD candidate in philosophy at Rutgers University—New Brunswick. Before that, I
studied philosophy and politics at Pomona College.

One strand of my research focuses on the theoretical virtues, with particular emphasis on their
significance for epistemology, though the topic spans many other areas. Beyond the virtues, I
work on other questions in epistemology, social and political philosophy, and the philosophy of AI.

If I’m not doing philosophy, I’m probably reading or out on a walk, attempting to befriend the
neighborhood deer. They are very skittish.
